Our Impact in Numbers:

Getting good health care is still a big problem in rural and low-income areas. Many people, especially women, teens, and older people, don’t get medical care when they need it and don’t know about preventive care. To fill this gap, the Sanjeevani Trust sets up Health Camps that bring important health care services right to the people who need them most.

We organized 112 Health camps60 Health Camps and 52 mega health fairs for preventive and curative healthcare.

• 19,500 women and adolescent girls reached through menstrual health and hygiene awareness.

• 371 Women’s Health Clubs conducting regular monthly meetings for awareness and hygiene management. These clubs foster a sense of belonging, support among members, and empowerment by providing a forum for candid conversations about menstrual hygiene, general health, and nutrition.

• 28 Peer Leaders’ Trainings (each batch has 30 to 50 trainees) empowering young women with leadership and empowerment, communication skills, Awareness about society, their rights and health knowledge.

• Door-to-Door Awareness Campaigns addressing myths, taboos, and providing personalized education. Our trained volunteers visit Households in marginalized communities, Address Myths and Misconceptions, and Provided Vital Information in a culturally sensitive and accessible manner. This personalized approach helped Build Trust, Encouraged Open Dialogue, and ensured that Accurate Health Information reach even the most remote and underserved families.

• Street Plays (Nukkad Natak) using local dialects to spread awareness and open community discussions. We Organized 115 street plays in Koraon (Prayagraj), Chakiya (Chandauli) and Shankargarh (Prayagaraj). Through the power of storytelling and live theatre, sanjeevani inspire communities to embrace menstrual health with understanding, dignity and lasting change.

Many girls and women suffer from nutritional deficiencies that have an impact on their health, particularly during menstruation, pregnancy and adolescence. To combat this, we strive to build awareness and provide direct nutritional support to promote a healthier, stronger community. 9500 Nutrition Kits (containing supplements like protein, vitamins, Iron syrup, Calcium and other essential nutrition) distributed to address malnutrition among women and adolescents.

Sanjeevani organized menarche celebration to raise menstrual health awareness among adolescent girls. In this program, girls are provided with information about safe and hygienic menstrual practices and provide them free sanitary pad. The initiative aims to make girls feel confident, respected, and comfortable. Through the celebration, open discussions about menstrual health in the community are encouraged, helping to break the social stigma associated with it. Such activities play an important role in developing healthy habits among adolescent girls and empowering them.

Sanitary Pad distribution:

In rural and tribal areas, access to sanitary pads is still a significant obstacle. Every woman and girl has access to safe menstrual hygiene products. All target villages in Koraon, Shankargarh and Chandauli, regularly receive free sanitary pads. We encourage women to use sanitary pads rather than less hygienic options. To cultivate healthy habit among them for using sanitary pads, distribution drives are accompanied by usage and disposal demonstrations. Also, we aware and educate them for other hygienic alternatives. Local awareness-raising and pad distribution are assisted by women’s health club members for guarantee long-term sustainability and accessibility for women and girls in rural areas. Making good menstrual hygiene the rule rather than the exception is the aim. Girls’ absenteeism and infection rates have decreased with regular pad use. The program encourages women to feel comfortable, confident, and dignified during their periods.

Total 11,46,000 lakh sanitary pads have been distributed across 50 villages in Prayagraj and Chandauli district. In Koraon 6,90,000 sanitary pads, 216000 in Shankargarh and 2,40,000 in Chakiya (Chandauli district).
