Maintaining rural livelihoods, conserving traditional crafts, and promoting economic independence all depend on supporting women artisans. Sanjeevani Sanstha helps women artisans achieve social upliftment and steady income through skill development, product quality improvement, and increased market access.
To promote our traditional Moonj and Bamboo crafts and sustain rural livelihoods, training and awareness campaigns were conducted in Mahewa-Naini of Prayagraj and Kaushambi.
Through skill development and product improvement in Mooj crafts, and bamboo crafts, women artisans are being empowered socially and economically.
Raw materials are provided to support production, and market linkages are established in collaboration with the Handicrafts & Industries Department to ensure fair stall distribution, increased sales, and reasonable prices.
Under this initiative, 267 artisans were trained and are working in association of the Sanjeevani as artisans group. This increased product visibility, created better revenue opportunities, and promoted sustainable livelihoods and fair trade practices.
